National Program

  • ABC’s “Good Morning America” and Wal-Mart Holiday Caravan.  During the 2006 holiday season, Operation Homefront organized a series of holiday events at six major military bases where children and families received more then $500,000 in toys, gift cards, specialized computers for wounded warriors and emergency assistance. We also selected 5 families to visit Santa at the North Pole, with more than 1500 families applying with less than one week’s notice. Not only did ABC’s “Good Morning America” partner to cover three of the events, including re-uniting military families by satellite with their deployed service member, but the program generated literally hundreds of newspaper, local radio and television coverage.

Regional Program

  • September 11 Freedom Walk. Operation Homefront chapters organized 15 Freedom Walks in 2006, the largest outside of Washington, DC. With the generous help of sponsors in local markets, we were able to:
    • Attract thousands of ‘walkers’ at each event
    • Draw major media coverage, including 11 radio stations in St. Louis simulcasting the event
    • Provide participants and onlookers with memorial items featuring sponsor logos

Local Program
Annual Golf Classic

The inaugural golf classic raised over $109,000 in support of military families and injured soldiers.  Presented by SM&A, over 144 golfers competed for top honors on a beautiful fall day while contributing much needed funds for Operation Homefront.  Set amidst Trabuco Creek and the Ladera Open Space Reserve, the 240-acre course provided the backdrop for an unforgettable experience.  Throughout the event, golfers were presented with great opportunities win outstanding prizes, including a brand new Audi at the “Hole-In-One” competition sponsored by Commonwealth Audi.  At the awards dinner & cocktail reception, guests were treated to live music, the chance to participate in an opportunity drawing, along with a silent and live auction.  The most coveted item was the chance to fly in an F5 Fighter Jet piloted by a Top Gun instructor.  Noted television host Ed Arnold MC’d the evening along with Brittany Frick, Miss International.  All sponsors received special recognition at www.operationhomefront.net and www.cinchouse.com as well as tournament privileges

Military – Targeted Program

    • Launch of the 529 College Savings Plan. A key military organization in Washington, DC, Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), launched a 529 plan specialized for military families to provide their members a real benefit and recruit new members. MOAA turned almost exclusively to CinCHouse.com to reach it’s nearly 900,000 unique monthly visitors as well as listeners to our syndicated radio program and podcast, “The Jacey Eckhart Show.” Our advisors guided MOAA in targeting their marketing to young families, created a full-service online application with a Control Panel for MOAA to monitor real-time results, and created a ‘surround sound’ marketing campaign that promoted the 529 plan in our editorial content, banner ads, discussion forums, and radio show. In less than one month, MOAA attracted more than 40 applicants.

Operation Homefront provides emergency assistance and morale to our troops, to the
families they leave behind, and to wounded warriors when they return home.
